Lloyds Bank has warned about an important four-digit code that customers should look out for.

Lloyds Bank has issued an alert concerning a deceptive text message that’s been circulating among customers. The established bank took action to inform and clarify the situation after customers conveyed their worries.

The high street bank has spoken out to clarify the text messages and shed light whether it is a scam or real message, after concerned customers reached out.

They said they had been a Platinum Credit Card customer since March 2024 and previously had a £2,500 limit. They fumed: "Used it, always paid on time. Today, you cut my limit to £75. My Experian score is excellent, yet you won’t even give me a reason."

Britain's Lloyds Banking Group said on Monday that some of its customers were affected by an outage preventing them from making or receiving payments, after hundreds of customers reported problems with the service.

Lloyds Bank has explained a restriction on making payments after a customer was frustrated to be told they couldn't make a deposit in the way they wanted. The person said they went into the Kingswood branch in Bristol to pay in £700 into an account belonging to a family member.
