The Los Angeles Chargers have a tough call to make with edge rusher Khalil Mack this offseason. On one hand, it seems obvious – give one of the heart and souls of the team a big contract extension and consider cutting Joey Bosa to balance the scales.

The Chargers head into free agency with a handful of their own players whose contracts are up, most notably edge defender Khalil Mack. Earlier this month, Mack said he would take time to figure out his future.

Per NFL Insider Adam Schefter, "Nine-time Pro-Bowl LB Khalil Mack, who said after the Chargers' postseason loss to the Texans that he needed to take some time to mull his future, will indeed play in the 2025 season, per source. Mack's contract is up and he is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent."
