Michigan expanded a 34-23 lead with 6:50 in the second quarter with a 14-4 run to end the period and Purdue fell at home 87-60. Freshmen duo Mila Holloway and Olivia Olson carved up Purdue's defense that was continually getting beat in transition. Holloway finished with 21 points and Olson scored 18 points.

Jordan Hobbs added 10 points for the Wolverines (11-5, 2-3 Big Ten), who lost their previous three games to Top 10 teams. Olson had seven rebounds and Holloway had four steals.

The Spartans' 7-0 start in Big Ten play is their best since the 2018-19 season when they last played in the Final Four.
