REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio — Although nobody won the $303 million Powerball jackpot in the latest drawing that was held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, the Ohio Lottery says one lucky player in the state just hit a big prize worth $1 million!

Someone in Ohio is likely holding a Powerball ticket worth $1 million. According to Ohio Lottery documents, one lucky ticket purchased in the Buckeye State matched five out of five numbers in the Wednesday, Jan. 8 drawing. Officials said the winning ticket was purchased in Ashtabula County at the Clark Station in Conneaut.

The Ohio Lottery says the winning auto-pick ticket missed the $240 million jackpot for failing to match the Powerball.

The lottery jackpot was an estimated $331 million with a cash option of $147.5 million for Saturday night's drawing, according to the Powerball website. The jackpot was last won on Dec. 7 when a New York lottery player won a $256 million Powerball jackpot.

More than 560,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot has not been hit since Dec. 7, when a New York player won the $256 million grand prize, lottery officials said.

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio — Someone won $1 million after buying a Powerball ticket in Reynoldsburg. The lucky winner purchased the ticket at Winners Corner, located at 2036 Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Rd. The winning numbers were 8-41-52-53-58. The Powerball was 7 and the Power Play was 3. The numbers were drawn on Wednesday.
