The Dallas Cowboys have kicked off the Brian Schottenheimer era with a bang, assembling a strong coaching staff. Among the notable hires is Matt Eberflus as defensive coordinator, along with several other key positions being filled.

Montgomery, 46, was considered an internal favorite to become the Lions’ offensive coordinator after Ben Johnson departed to become the Chicago Bears’ new head coach. Ultimately, the role went to Auburn Hills native and Western Michigan graduate John Morton, who served as a senior offensive assistant on Dan Campbell’s staff in 2022.

Klayton Adams appears to be the top pick for the Dallas Cowboys open OC position — and for Cowboys haters, that might actually be unfortunate. After interviewing with the team recently, Adams is now interviewing with the team in person, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
