According to KPRC2 Sports’ Aaron Wilson, the Texans plan on interviewing Washington Commanders assistant head coach and pass-game coordinator Brian Johnson for the position on Friday.

Brian Johnson, who starred at Baytown Lee High School, has spent the past four seasons as an NFL assistant with the Eagles and Commanders.

Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury turned down overtures to interview elsewhere, ensuring his return in 2025. However, if teams can't get Kingsbury, they want to raid his and head coach Dan Quinn's deep and talented offensive staff.
