Liam Payne will feature in Netflix's upcoming talent show Building the Band later this year, marking his first posthumous TV appearance since his death last October

Building the Band follows judges Liam, Nicole Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls) and Kelly Rowland (Destiny’s Child) as they scout members for the next up and coming boy band. Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean also features as the show’s host.

The One Direction member served as a judge on the show — which relies on chemistry to put a new band together without them ever meeting each other — with Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger
