State Trooper Cody Durham rescued a driver last week on the Dallas North Tollway. The car was already on fire by the time Trooper Durham got there, and the driver was calling for help. The rescue was captured by the trooper's body camera.
Quick-acting trooper rescues man trapped in burning car in North Texas
In a bodycam video released by DPS, you can see Trooper Durham immediately opening the back passenger door, entering the smoke-filled vehicle and beginning to pull the driver out until he was able to remove him from the vehicle and pull him safely away from the fire.
