According to MPD, K-9 Kari and her handler were assisting the Kingsport Fire Department in search efforts of flood casualties on Wednesday when Kari began “uncontrollably barking.” Kari, a 5-year-old bloodhound, then led them to a 20-foot tree where a dog was perched on a pile of debris on the branches.
