Vic Flick, the guitarist who lent his guitar's famously low, tremolo tones to the iconic James Bond theme song, died November 14. He was 87. Flick had been battling Alzheimer's, according to a statement released by his family on November 18, in which news of his death was first made public.

It’s one of the most famous guitar riffs of all time - the twanging open E string riff in the James Bond theme. And the man who played it was Vic Flick. Vic passed away on 14 November, and is remembered as “a musicians’s musician”.
