WEBAug 7, 2010 · Posted June 8, 2011. Blue Ribbon was a brand produced by National Pen Products / Chicago, IL. Without a photo, I cannot provide a guess as to the timing of your pen. Here is a photo of one of their oversized jade flat tops from probably the late 20s to 30s. National was tied to many pen brands during this time.

The early ones such as the ones shown here were (probably) made by the National Pen and Pencil co. in Chicago. Good Service was the lower line of pens, under the top-line Diamond Medal, and mid-level Webster pens.

WEBSep 18, 2012 · All of the Wahl pens were made in Chicago, so that doesn't help. 6 is the pen size - should be 4 1/4 inches long, according to the catalog. If it's 3 1/2 inches it's a numer 5 size. We don't need no stinkin' millimeters! 2 does mean a number 2 nib. The second 2 denotes the darts pattern.
