Recently, I changed the wireless service provider and accidentally deactivated the account before the number was ported over.

As others have mentioned, Google Fi uses (mostly) T-Mobile towers, as well as US cellular, so for the most part you shouldn’t notice any difference in your service by making a switch to Fi. I have traveled quite a bit with Fi, both internationally and domestically.

Google FI supports eSIM on the iPhone. eSIM support is required to support apple watch, but you got it, no apple watch support even though Google supports eSIMs. No automatic carrier switching. iPhones only roam on t-mobile’s network in the US. If you have good t-mobile coverage, no problem.

WEBMay 5, 2022 · Recently ported out 6 T-Mobile lines mid April and so far it's been great. It's best if you have a Designed for Fi phone, but 2 of our lines are currently using a OnePlus 7T and a Galaxy Note 9 (i.e., compatible with Fi) --- they haven't noticed any issues whatsoever. Money wise you'll probably save a good amount.
